East Reach Shop Relocating:

We have relocated our East Reach shop, to our bakery shop at 42 South Street, across the road and just a few yards up the street on your right between the Eagle Tavern and Trinity school.

You will be still be able to buy all the goods that we currently produce and our sandwich delivery rounds will also carry on trading as before.

A bit about Barry the Baker:

• We are a traditional craft bakery employing 19 dedicated and experienced staff.
• We do not buy frozen goods to bake. All our goods are made in the bakery by our skilled bakers and baked fresh daily.
• Our pasties and savouries are made fresh daily with meat and vegetables from local suppliers.
• Our sandwiches and filled rolls are made every morning with freshly baked bread.

Our History

• In 1969 husband and wife team Barry and Shirley rented a bakery and shop in Taunton. Buying the business and creating Barry the Baker in 1977
• The business has expanded over the years and is now run by Barry's two sons James and Jason.
• In addition to the two shops, the bakery shop front opened in 1994
• Since the early 90's Barry the Baker has provided a daily sandwich delivery service. Calling on businesses and builders daily with freshly made sandwiches and cakes.
• This service now has five full time delivery vans calling on all parts of Taunton, Bridgwater and Wellington.
